Hi Austin, it looks like Paul/Bimbler is free on Thursday & SteveR a possibility.

How about a run through the Trough, brew at Devils Bridge, Barbon, Dent & Hawes?

I wonder if Outrunner is around?

All welcome [emoji2]

No, no, no, no.
You can't have a gents do lunch on a weekend, thats when the riff raff go out.
It's got to be a weekday. Its the rules [emoji3]

Sounds good to me Phil. If you are coming up the M6 I could Meet you all at the Tickled Trout services. If not M6 then Clitheroe, Ribchester, or where ever. I think I said brews and food at mine some time in the day.

Phil, unfortunately you picked the day I have an appointement with the doctor at 10 am and as it is 110 miles for me to Devil's Bridge it would be a bit late in the day before I got there, probably around 12.30/1pm.:(

Well Si, I guess we can lower the standards this once & welcome you to this very exclusive establishment [emoji3]

I'll have a browse at potential routes & timings when I get a mo this evening.

Ok all, how does this work with you all for Thursday...

I pop to Pauls (all being ok with him) for 9.15.
We meet at Osbaldeston petrol stn on the A59 around 9.45, departing before 10. Heading through Ribchester, Slaidburn, Bentham, we should be at Devils Bridge nicely before 1pm for a brew & butty.

We can take things from there, maybe a run to Hawes via Barbon, Dent etc?

Missed you guys today, by the time I got out of the health centre and on the bike it was 10.45. ( Bloody health service, mumble, mutter) Got to Devil's Bridge at 12.45 and a guy told me you had left about 20 mins before so I had a coffee and a fag, headed to Ingleton for fuel and then over to Hawes. I cruised around the place but saw no sign of anyone so went over to Sedbergh and on to Kendal then up the A6 to Penrith, coffee there and then home. 280 miles in blustery conditions, no rain to speak of and a nice day out (even if I was Billy no mates) :)

Sorry Andy, we left Devils Bridge at 12.40 so missed you literally by minutes. (was the guy you spoke to wearing a BMW suit and riding an R1150GSA? If so he might be joining the forum). We then went the very scenic and very long way round led by a crazed phil who had the red mist down. Lots of air under my wheels as we literally flew over the humps and bumps on the B roads north of Hawes. We got there around 2pm and stayed for a brew in Pennygarth Cafe - I left at 2.45 on my own as I needed to be in Preston by 4 to 4.30 - it was pissing down on the Ribblehead road.

For the rest of us - Phil, Paul, Hudders, and Paul's mate from Sheffield Steve it was a great day in mostly dry weather, although the roads were damp and muddy in places with leafy mush all over the place but it didn't stop us having FUN :ride:

Bugger, I missed you by taking the short route to Hawes and left before you got there.:( The guy I spoke to was riding a red NCX like mine, guess he got the timing wrong. Not to worry, there will be another time.................next week sometime at Coniston perhaps?

That is a proper bugger Andy, our paths can't have been that far from crossing - either at DB or Hawes.
Now, if you'd let us know you were coming......

As for the rest of the day, another enjoyable get together, Austin led the ride through Bowland, always lovely & nice to get some roads & views I've not seen before. We arrived at DB early ish - we saw the red nc750 there Andy and can't have left much before you arrived which is a shame.

Next, Hawes via Barbon & Dent, always a lovely run, figuring we'd get to Hawes soon after the previous brew, a detour up to Nateby turning off to Keld then Buttertubs & Hawes where I was mercilessly chased by a couple of loons on bikes [emoji3]
The rest of us departed ~3.30.

All in all a great day out

Just checked the video from yesterday and I left Hawes to head for Sedbergh at 1.37 pm, so if I had stopped and had a coffee and a fag we would have met up. It was a last minute descision to come down hence me not confirming it but no harm done and a good day out besides.
