. . . . . . so I decided to wander towards the River Spey this morning to see how big & scary it was . . . . . .

There is a house in the middle of that clump of trees, the clump in the middle of the river water

Burn across the road from the house has been at max height all day and most of last night as well. It's flow is controlled by an up-stream catchment - just as well or we'd have seen a repeat of 1997's mess.

The local councils £85 million flood scheme for Elgin did what it was designed to do, thankfully. But several locations roundabout the area took a hit from the downpour . . . . .

I would agree the grass has been thoroughly watered.

No wetness at all up here today, so this evening I popped out - felt the need to burn some fuel

155 miles according to the nag-nav . . . . . and a goodly number of those were in Much Wetness, a little village near Deluge and Phissing-down

Good to see you Steve, you are a braver man than me :D

Had the bike out before you came, thought about it, but decided to wash all the grime off from the previous weekend instead.
Typically, weather back at work today was great.

So took it for a wee blast before tea
