Well was booked on a one day course at Inch Perfect Trials with Steve and his brood, but wife had her hip operation brought forward so had to re schedule -- to a fortnight ago, yeah I know, bit late in posting.
Anyhow, headed to Inch Perfect on me own, had a fabulous day. Great company, great instructor, top notch, would recommend.
Had a bit of an off when I was practicing my wheelies ( the instructor started it !! ) Was getting on fine until I overcooked it, couldn't grab the rear brake in time, he said it was the most spectacular fail ever
I was left with a bruised ass for a week
Anyways left there and made my way to stay with Mr Hudders and the lovely Amy, had a great night, a few wee drams were consumed, cheeers again Si
Then made my way to Salter Fell.
No main issues apart from getting arm pump half way through from the previous day, dabbed at the wrong time and getting a sore ankle, later turned out to be a chipped bone Should have known better, hot day, fully loaded was always going to end in tears
Anyhoo, made my way to another small trail about 10 miles away which went ok, then headed to Dent to see the lovely Margaret
By pure chance, there was a Panthers Owners Club having a rally there so I was invited to join them.
What a great craic
Ian on Liz's unit ( non Panther )
And Will's classic -- not bad for an eighty year old, he rode it from Norwich
we had a great time both in and out of the Sun.
Then left Dent and headed up to see youngest son in Oban, took the long way up, Dumfries and Galloway ( Cheers Austin ) Great run only hampered by heavy rain towards the end.
I was invited back to Dent last weekend for another Panther meet , but I ended up with bloody Covid. This is my 9th day and still feeling like sheeeiit
Looking forward to National Guys, Oban is a lovely place
