Felt strange not having a Honda in the garage, so when this one came up locally a few weeks ago I just had to have a look-see ;)

And the rest, as they say, is history :D

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you my 1995 Honda VFR 750 . . . . . .

23 years old and barn stored for the last 6 of them! Fresh fuel and a new battery and VROOOOM, she lives :D :thumbsupanim: :clapping:

Spent the last while stripping it down, checking this and painting that. Now it just needs it's new rear tyre to be fitted and an MOT and it's play time :thumbsupanim:

nice one steve. Son #1 had one just like that about 4 years ago but stuffed it into the scenery. Check the clutch pushrod - it gets corroded and sticky causing clutch slip. Otherwise his was great and went really really well. I liked it until he missed a corner and it tumbled down a huge ravine. Written off.

nice one,

I occasionally miss my VFR800 - I would have missed my licence more if I'd kept it though :)

Great bike ! I took one out for a test ride that annXRV member was selling years ago. It was so confidence inspiring I was able to absolutely thrash it first ride. Then he changed his mind about selling and I never got to own one. (Far as I remember collector box can be the only notable problem, may be worth picking one up for the future ?)

Thanks for the kind comments chaps, and the advice Austin.

Not had the front sprocket cover off - tried, but it was very determined not too budge, so I just left it alone. Clutch does not feel like it's slipping, but a full ride test once it's got new rubber and MOT and I'll get back to you

John, I know I'm a bike tart :D, but this one was just egging me on when I was viewing it on gumtree. When I got to see it in the metal, well, what can I say, I'm a bike tart :respect13:

Keeper or punter! Yet to really ride it, so I'll answer that once I've burnt off a couple of tankfulls . So I'll get back to you by the end of the weekend then

Nice one Steve, there's sumink about those gear cam V-fours eh
There certainly is Phil  :respect13:

Definite difference between the 800Fi version and the 750, engine wise. And it's Soooooooo nice to have rider freindly carbs at the other end of the throttle cable and not electricery squirting juice at differing rates every other nano-second

And I do believe that it is only fractionally thirstier than the 650 alp that I had! Go figure.

Yup been ridding the Transalp to keep the old hand it

Thomas was up last week end and we had a great ride over to Tomintoolie avoiding rain showers for a bacon roll he had a shot of the RD03

looking forward to Gairloch, as I missed Strontian this year ( 40th wedding anniversary so had to do my duty )

Hopefully make Gairloch in some shape or form as Emma is having an eventful pregnancy.

I will pop some picture on of our wee ride so Thomas can give you hair envy :)

Keep safe on the crutch rocket
