Losing my mind

aargh, I have lost my sons bike's keys. We got back from our Scandinavia trip in Mid July to find he had left the country and parked his (recently crashed - another story) bike in the middle of the garage. I moved it to the side of the garage, locked it up with three different sorts of locks and the said to my wife "I am going to put the keys "here", remind of that when i cant find them". Since then we have been away a couple of times and neither of us can remember where "here" was.

I have looked in all the usual and likely places and spent ages wandering around the house, garage and garden trying to spy where I would hide some keys now if I had to. Normally I would lock them in the gun cabinet but they aren't there. I am sure "here" is in the garage somewhere as thats' where we both remember me saying I was going to hide them. It won't be somewhere obvious just in case any thieving scrotes broke in, yet it also won't be anywhere too difficult to get at. I cant bloody well find them.

Its driving me insane trying to remember what I did with them. There's 4 keys on a key ring so its not like its a thing that's going to be easily overlooked. I have practically turned the garage upside down looking. Its completely consuming me trying to remember.

If this is a taste of the future I don't like it.

In your sock drawer or inside the cookie jar (whadya mean you don't have one?). OK biscuit tin then.

All the usual places thoroughly scoured - high up, low down, pots, tins - biscuit and otherwise, jars etc all emptied. If Anne wasn't sure she remembered me saying I was putting them somewhere I would be doubting my mind. There's no doubt theres some keys missing too - the pot where I hide the duplicates and spares has been raided and I got the locks off. Its going to be a 3am thing one day soon when I eventually remember.

Welcome to my world as well, it’s just that I only have to have a single elapsed day before I’ve forgotten.

Still not found them and I have looking hard everywhere. I am beginning to doubt myself a lot now.

In the fridge. Under the dogs blanket. Under a stone in the garden.

Pour yourself a couple of large drams, sit by the fire, chill out and it will come to you.

If it doesn't, still not a particularly bad way to spend an evening

Good luck --- what's your name again ? :D
