still have mine but off the road as MOT due & exhaust joint blowing, waiting for clamp bolts and port nuts to unfreeze themselves with WD40.
Probably back on the road after Christmas as using RD04 & TA at the moment. I like the effortlessness of the Vara but not the weight so it tends to be used in decent road situations whereas the RD04 & TA get used in muddy narrow lanes.

Haven't seen one up here for a while.
I was tempted a while back, but ended up going to the dark side ;)

Often toyed with the idea but they seem big and heavy.
Having said that, I sat on Robsters old first edition one and it was a bit lower than my Alp.....lot of it in front of you though.

I do love my old Alp.:cool10:

The Mounties "old" Vara - 12 plate with very low miles, finally got sold month before last. It had been sitting around for over 18 months. I looked at it plus another that was in the shop, but I find that the Vstrom thou carries what weight it has lower down, making it easier to push around and more fun to chuck around :D. Plus the Strom has a vastly reduced appetite for un-leaded compared with the Vara.
