This morning I've mainly been riding this . . .

Nice and tight demo machine with less than 70 miles on the clock when I got hold of the key :ride:. To my un-trained eye the black one looks better in a very subtle way when compared to the blue one they had in the showroom - blue wheels are far to SHOUTY for my liking, and having seen piccies of the red & white ones, that would be my colour of choice

Even being as tight as it is, that little 700cc twin packs some grunt, even from 2k revs in top . One silly little niggle, and it is silly and little - why have the menu select botton on the RH switch cluster? Yer non throttle hand has little enough to do when riding, so why not have it located on the LH side!

1st impresion - I could live with one of these in the garage . . . if I didn't already have a very, very similar machine already roosting there in the form of the F800GS.

Got a half decent offer for the Strom against a new red & white one . . . of which the precise figure of NONE are available from the factory at the moment o_O

Glad I've ridden one, but I'll not be shelling out for one in the near future .

Just my mutterings :D

Menu button thing..... same on my Guzzi. The only logic I can think of is that it’s to stop you fiddling about while riding. Although they could just disable some of the attention demanding features once above 0mph.

Blue wheels , shouty ??? must be why i bought that one then :D

To be honest i didn't like any of the colour schemes so I just picked the that one. I agree with the select button thing but I just use the buttons on the screen with my left hand, sorted.

Yes I have got it dirty now Steve but I didn't even have to ride a trail , the roads down here are so shitty it got covered just on tarmac

Looking forward to opening up a bit more once the break in period and first service is out of the way but 64 mpg is not to be sniffed at :)

Yikes!!!! o_O

Thats some amount of gritty-shitty winter grime that is.

Looking forward to viewing your pictures of it in / on terrain more becoming to its nature :)
