Happy New year to you Tony and to all. For the first time since I was about 8 years old I didn’t see the new year in last night. A pesky cold has got hold of me again and I was just wasting away last night until I gave up and went to bed

Any got any biking plans for the year?

Happy New Year all. Biking plans? Yep - don't know what yet but it will definitely involve old bikes and gravel roads. Ride safely everyone.

Happy New Year to one and all on here and here abouts

Man Flu eh Austin! Been struck down with the lurgy yet again over the festive season, missing two days shooting but managing a short ride on the bike on the weekend and yesterday :motorcycle:

Riding plans for next year? I plan to ride, of course, but where to and when? Gotta yearning to wander to the south of Spain to see my eldest sister, but apart from that, just ride I guess.

Dent in May with a multitude of Tossers is on the calander - this year without the need for eldest son to attend dyalisis during the long weekend = HURRAH

September - has a location and date for this years National been set in jelly yet?

Plans for this year? Ride a damn site more than I did last year. Don't think that I've ridden a bike less other than not having a bike at all. DIdn't help that I hurt myself so was off the bike(s) for far too long.

Transalp needed a new water pump - that was a right faff.

Diversion appears to have sprung a leak from its oil cooler. Need to start stripping it down to find out exactly what's gone wrong.

Need to get my act together this year.

Happy New Year everyone. Nothing planned until I'm sure my back will cope with it but hopefully get more miles than last year. My son bought me Para to Dakar by Joey Evans as an incentive. This guy from Africa was in a bad accident lost the use of his legs but with sheer determination got himself walking again then went on to complete the Dakar, so looking forward to reading that. The Dakar and EcoAfrica race will keep me occupied for the first 2 weeks anyway.

Best wishes all.

Similar to others, I've done less bike miles than probably anytime since taking my test nearly 30 years ago and probably less than 1/10th of what it was a few years ago - split that between 3 bikes and.... errm, well!

A top to bottom service on the cb5 over winter as time permits, the Alp could ideally do with steering bearings but that may have to wait yet another year.

I do aim get out a bit more this year but other than a friends' 60th 'lads' trip to IoM in May & prob the National wherever that is, it'll be mainly evening bimbles over the moors etc
I hear Paul/Bimbler has a new pad so more northern than previously GDL has been mentioned, which would also be nice to attend.

Ok, so my plans.... sell the BMW 1200gsa. Put some of the money towards some upgrades to the Guzzi V85TT: heftier rear shock, better panniers and a decat exhaust and electronic doo-dah to richen the mixture a bit. The rest towards a trip to Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and possibly Turkey and Georgia. It’s all just thoughts and ideas at the mo.

Took the new year in at my youngest son's place in a remote Glen south of Oban, no phone, no internet, Pub next door ---- pure magic

My plans for this year ?? Still going out for runs every Sunday morning ( unless of course Baltic conditions occur :p ) Haven't really thought about any far flung places as yet --- but that could change ;):)

sounds perfect!!!!

Happy New Year everyone, started the new year as I am meant to go on, took two new Honda for a test ride (not at the same time) , and had a short 200 miles round trip down Margate way to blow off the Xmas cobwebs and alcohol residues.....:)
also adding finishing touches to a little trip up north to see a certain Scottish gentleman, in the spring.........hoping that the idea of spring actually means anything in Scotland :--) all the best everyone for a prosperous 2020!
