I was a bit late getting away today as I did not think it was going to be so good. Headed off to Hawick, Bonchester Bridge, Carter Bar and on down the A68. When taking the picture below I almost turned around around as I thought it was building for rain.

As it turned out it came to nothing as this picture from further down the road shows.

I continued down the A68 to Hexham to see how the new road junction is coming along and to get a much needed coffee.
Now for the return journey I made my way by Bellingham to Kielder.
Somewhere near near Bellingham.

The next 3 views were taken from the dam wall at Kielder, the last one looking towards Falstone village.

It was starting to get a bit dull again and as I got near the border there was a tiny sprinkle of rain for about 5 minutes but it came to nothing.
Leaving England.

And back to where I belong.

A bit of Wachope forest.

From there it was back home, another pleasant 160 miles.
