Hello from tropical Ellesmere Port! Just joined the site so thought I'd say hi. Love all bikes but particularly big trailies, they just seem to do everything I need. Have had DR800, R80 GS and currently '97 660 Tenere . Also like the old Brits, and have a 59 Royal Enfield 500 Bullet dripping on the garage floor.

Not managed to do much trail riding yet, but plenty of runs out in Wales, normally with 9yr old daughter on pillion.

Thanks Rob, yep, loved the DR but it used to eat parts of it's own engine on a regular basis, although judging by the amount of silicone gloop oozing from the crank case halves, I think the PO had been a bit of a bodger! Would love to get my hands on another but they seem rather thin on the ground, hence the Tenere. That said, 12 months on and I'm loving the Ten, except for the rock hard saddle!

Welcome Scuzz,

Sounds like your DR is a passion! I'm from Telford, just started back to biking and with my F650,I'm looking to get into some of the Welsh hills for some practice off road. Contact me if you feel up for a ride. I'm going next Thursday with 'nigelphoto' to Prestatyn.

Wow! What a friendly bunch!Thanks for all the greetings and invites guys. Unfortunately, mid week ride outs aren't really an option much of the time due to working in schools, however, the National looks like distinctly possible! Just have to arrange a weekend pass from SWMBO.

Thanks Rainbar. If only I still had them all! Only got the Ten and the Enfield these days, finances won't stand any more drains! Love them both though, the Enfield was bought new by my Dad in 1959 and he gave it to me when he stopped riding at 80 yrs old! I've had the Ten just about 12 months.
