My latest addition a running (that's a change) AJS 1956 Model 30. First year of AMC making a bigger twin to compete with BSA/Triumph/Norton. Essentially the 500 bored out to give 600cc the remainder as 500. It was advertised on a TRF site hence the adventure connection. These bikes evolved into the 650CS and then into the 750 AMC Hybrid desert sledges, but this is a simple soft tourer that's easy to start, but a real b-st--d to get on the centre stand, will look for a prop stand at the Shepton jumble Saturday, some Indian ones on EBay if nothing found.
only round his yard, do not want to ride on the road until its taxed, still waiting for the insurance certificate as it has to be done at the PO.
You should be able to tax it at the PO without the ins document as long as you have the new keepers supplement. Phil
Have decided to sell the AJS and concentrate on the BSA A7 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272033764396? ... 1558.l2649
