Comedy TV

I would like to ask a favour of you all.
Being an expat living abroad for nigh on thirty years , I have kind of lost touch with british comedy on TV.
Can any of you guys reccommend something for lifting the humour that I can find via the wonders of modern technology.
I can stream anything that is online so any comedy from 1985 onwards (when I buggered off) would be great
What is your favourite film or TV series/programme?(not Jonh Bishop  )
I would like you to keep it resonably clean so I can share it with my 16 yr old son.

most 16 yr olds could tell us a thing or two about life!!!)

My 16 yr old son considers it child abuse if I keep him away from his smart phone, xbox and his laptop for a whole weekend. :D
Thanks for the links.

Early series of the Peep show.

Red dwarf

The Simpsons

QI

8 cats does countdown

Big Bang theory - a US comedy and stick with it, it really is good.

Scrubs

Another vote for Peter Kay, either his stand up shows or that series he did about the night club in Bolton.

Can't remember the proper title bit it featured Royston Vasey and the catch phrase "a local shop for local people". A very very dark sketch show series.

There's been loads of good stuff; loads of crap too mind.

The IT crowd always has me giggling. He will also enjoy the Inbetweeners and Gavin and Stacey

I'm struggling go think of any recent British sit-coms. Most of the humour being aired right now are panel shows like 8 Out of Ten ...., Mock The Week and the reliable Have I Got News For You? Friends rave about The IT Crowd, but I've never seen it. A few stand-up shows are ok, like Live At The Apollo and Dave Gorman. Worth a try.
