When I was student at Plymouth a ride out to Dartmoor frequently included a visit to Brentor church. I remember one trip, Halloween: we had had a couple of drinks at Peter Tavey and had been foraging for and enjoying those special wild mushrooms ;) and as usual stopped at Brentor church. Remember this was 1980 when there was a far more relaxed attitude to driving under influence and somewhat under the influence we crept into the unlocked pitch dark church with a lighter as our only illumination and over-active halloween imaginations running riot. Anyway the door slammed shut in the wind which saw us fleeing screaming back to the bikes and riding off with helmets shoved up our arms until we were at a safe distance. Talk about laugh later, but at the time I was terrified.
