Loch Ness outside the Dores Inn, it was hooching with tourists.
Had a few people coming over for a chat about the bike ( wouldn't get that with the Beemer  )

Anyways, headed along the shore line towards Foyers.

Road was dead quiet, think they were all scooping up at the Dores Inn ;)

Loch Ruthven in all it's glory.
The colours this time of year are truly beautiful

And of course the obligatory photo from the west side of the Loch above Dores.

All in all a great wee bimble about.

As an aside, popped in to the camp site in Foyers owned by an old client of mine. It has fairly come on, clean, heated floors etc and so close to the Loch you could chuck a stone in it :). Also the pub has re opened near the campsite, doing really well. Strange how the introduction of a camp site to a village like Foyers can transform it so readily.
Well worth a visit

Little competition (no prizes) - apart from the different locations, whats the difference between the pictures? Clue - it's bike related

Fantastic pics John.

I managed a sneaky 20 miles last night, sheesh, not long ago a 'run out' would be 20 times that!

A few years ago, group of us stayed at the bunkhouse in FA, on our way back I led 'em along that road to the S/E of the lock (greasy as buggery it was :) ) skirted Inverness then down to Grantown, Braemar, Glenshee as you do - it didn't look like that I tell ya, absolutely pished it down all the way to Perth!

That evening once home, the neighbour who also went with us, got the map to piece together our return route and said to his Mrs, "I'm sure we passed Inverness..... Well the b*stard, I thought we were heading home when all that time, we were heading further North!

Fair enough - the log book says Bronze! Looks green enough for me though :D

Correct. It decided to leave the scene about 300yds after the first photo was taken . . . . but I didn't know that, did I? Oh no. From near Keith (1st photo) to Aberlour, via Tomintoul and Grantown without a clue as to my plate-less condition - approx 57 miles . It was only when the fuel station owner says "No number plate then?" that I become aware of my little problem.
Cardboard replacement knocked up thanks to the petrol pump man, and home I ride . . . . passing a couple of fuzzywuzzies who were not bovvered about my home made plate.

A little later I re-traced my route and found the plate, as mentioned, not far from where the 1st photo was taken.
