I am planning a little trip back to the Fatherland again this year so thought i put the open invite up here too

The plan is " No plan so far" p0p

Well i will be leaving on Saturday the 14th of june on a early morning train to France. Destination not sure yet. Either Mainz or a campsite on the Mosel near Trier. We will finish up in Mainz just in time for the Johannesfest(Beer, wine, food, music festival) which finishes on the Monday evening and we make our way back on Tuesday

Not sure if we should go to one campsite for the whole time and use it as a base for rideouts or split it up again like last time into 4 nights each

We will NOT have big rides every day.We are more like little tours with lots of stops for food, coffee, and pics.
We usually cook in the evening and eat all together. The 2-3 people go shopping for everything and than the bill gets divided by the number of people worked well on previous trips.

The ride outs will be along the Rhein and Mosel Rivers which are stunning and plenty of stops will be made

Couple from the last trip. 10 bikes,13 people ,10 days of laughter, scenery and headaches :bob-eponge-:

In the last picture why have you all got your eyes closed - do you start each drinking session with a little prayer perhaps??

The pictures of the river look like Loreley and St Goar? We were there last summer at the campsite on the river bank opposite. Some of the barges that passed were massive, sometimes four individual barges lashed together. Wonderfull location.

Was a cracking trip! Looking forward to June, show you all a real bike! (The mighty Honda VFR1200X!)

Will we have to eat as much sausages as last time? And will we really have to drink so much? I recall sleeping on a river boat due to the night before's indulgence! Hopefully the bullshit sharks won't get me this time Allan!

I'm sure it'll be a brilliant trip with stunning views and loads of fun! See you there folks!

Haha for those that don't know me that's me asleep at the rail with the greeny blue jumper on . It was one hell of a night (the first time the whole gang had been together) I made some new friends that day and I managed to get some black grouse down the sassenachs throats.

If you are going up the Mosel then the wee campsite up the hill Andy, David and I stayed in comes highly recommended. Lovely little site with a wee shop and bar p0p and only about 10 mins walk from the village. Smashing family that own the place and made us very welcome. Well worth a visit

Me and Hudders are taking a Trip to Mainz, this is an open invite to Join the more refined group

Is yours coinciding with theirs? Will it be at the same places travelling just behind them? Will your group be drinking wine coz you're refined? Just checking.

Take your point. Are they "The warter in M'yorka does not taste like it ought to" types or "The wata in MaJorca don't taste like it ought ta" ?
