Glen Lyon - Bridge of Balgie

Just a few words to cover what turned out to be a cracking day out on the bike yesterday

Started very “mizzzly”, as it seems the clouds came down to meet the ground in places.

This was the level of the cloud base as I crossed the Dava moor . .

Took my usual scenic route option to get to Glen Lyon, pausing on route for a sip of water at this old Lime Kiln . . .

Wending my way up alongside Ben Lawers from Loch Tay, taking piccies as I went . . .

Got to the designated meeting point in the middle of no-where, with only a few minutes passing before the other riders appeared - outrunner & LWR

Once polite conversation was exchanged and the world put to rights over a nice cuppa and sandwiches, the small ensemble separated and went their own ways. My fellow rider and I encountered a severe impedance to our onwards transit at one point . . .

. . . eventually passing the final dam at the head of the glen

Did the old hydro road on our way over to the Killin road. Wasn't as bad as I'd expected it to be - some severe wash-out at the Glen Lyon end, but easily passable on bikes such as ours.

AbFab day out on two wheels with like minded peeps – must do this again before the snow arrives :D

Oh, nearly forgot - a very kind man who was standing around at the other end of the hydro road, contemplating riding where we'd just come from, let me sit on his F900XR  :motorcycle:. I declined his very kind offer of a ride on it, but even just astride it I felt it fitted me :D.
Test ride here I come :motorcycle:

EDIT

Here is a link to a vid that LWR made of me riding over the hydro road:-
