Hello from Macclesfield

Hi folks,
My name is Jon and I.... I am biker.
I ride a Vstrom XT and love it despite the hard time it seems to get! I ride it offroad badly but it seems to cope well enough for green lanes. On the road it's great to and after a 20yr old pegaso it seems like a dream do it all bike (I have accept this is unlikely but if I don't try anything else it's not an issue).
Previous bikes- Drz 400, zzr 600, gpz 500, Fj1300, Pegaso 650.
I do most of my riding in North Wales as that is where I hale from and frankly the roads and lanes around here seem pants compared!!

So hello from me.

Welcome Jon. Post some pics up of your bike. Always admired the Vstrom.
Where are you based now?

Yeah definitely keen to meet some fellow minded folks.
Will certainly try to make the December meet but something sooner would be great!
Here's a couple pics of my motor

Welcome Jon, great looking bike especially with the off road biased tyres - Steve T take note
There's plenty of nutters on here to play with, see you in Leominster if you're able to make it

Welcome,

Nice looking bike and nice trails :cool2:
There are no nutters on this site

Maybe a few , ahem , unhinged perhaps

Tyres are a bit of a sore point. They are Annakee wilds- amazing grip but considering the bumf they put out about being "proper big bike tyres" as in radial construction, will last long, not deform etc. 1500 miles the back is well past its best to be honest and has started to show ripples in the carcass. Granted after a very rapid run home from Corwen 2 up but still expected more given the hype.

Grip is excellent so not supprised by the rapid wear but annoyed none the less. Michelin never even answered my complaint either, made in hope rather than expectancy.
