Couldn't get my 3g service to play that. But as far as is it worth it ? It's my favourite country in the world and probably my last big adventure will be to ride it all again on the outfit.

I'd rather be in Norway than any other place. Who needs sand and jerry cans full of suspect fuel when you can be sitting on a smooth rock or moss like grass that just melts into the waters of an isolated fjord, watching the heavens changing colour through the night.

(the sidecar this time will have all the sh*t in it that I can't afford to buy in Norway - in other words everything ! :D ) :sidecar:

superb video

Going to rip that down to a USB stick and watch it on the big tele for the full effect. I worked in Sweden and the costs there were bad enough (but it was all work expenses) - god only knows how expensive it is in Norway.

I been riding in Norway for seven years in a row now, and it's not that expensive if one is careful in choosing were one bunks at night and eats.
Fuel is expensive and nothing one can do about that.

We always stays at youth hostels or cabins, and we usually chooses a place outside village centers. Depending on time of year we usually can haggle the price down 20 - 25 %
We never stays in Oslo...

As for food we bring camping food and a stove with us and eat lunch along the route.

The good thing with Norway is that there are no really bad roads. Even the big main roads are worth visiting.

Personally I think the bad thing with my neighbour country is the speed limits and the penalty one has to pay if caught...

I was shocked when I bought a couple of pints and got hit for £15! Tin of beans was about £1.50.

Its a lovely place. I went snowboarding in Hemsedal. Locals were very friendly, mountain etiquette was far better than France/Italy. Very clean...as well as cold. Luckily for me it was a mild winter and only got to -26c while there.

Was better when there was the Newcastle Bergen ferry. There are rumours it may start up again but would't hold your breath.

Later learnt you could take your own beer in if you had the receipt with you. Bit limited on a bike but if Hudders or Russ went you could load their vans ;)

I got other plans for 2015,and I'm only throwing this as an idea into the air.

:idea-013: 2016 - Middle Norway (mountains) and west coast fjords maybe ? If it were a Big Trailie thing, we would at least all know each other (unlike many of the the other do's I attend :( )

Hmm 2016 sounds good. We all could stay over at my brothers place in Hamburg. I am sure he wouldn't mind a few bikers in his garden for a night or 2 :D

Either there is an in- joke going on or someone has hijacked the thread and replaced the video. I see a Russian or something reading something in russian from a sheet of paper for 3 minutes. Oh, and there's a giant gold fish tank too. [confused]

Either your browser has replaced the video at the top with something else / spam, or you're on drugs Austin.

OK.

Ages to go,so plenty of time to sort something.

I may actually be selling my present AT outfit soon as I'm no longer playing the injury card, and sorting instead one of my Dommies as a touring bike ( I'm so getting' into the weight advantage and general chuck ability of the 650 ).

Anyways lets have your ideas. June /July / Aug ? - Holland, Denmark to Kristiansand via north Jutland ferry ? On the cheap ? 7 / 10 / 14 days or more ? Part way by vans, doubling up bikes maybe ? Commercial ferry routes etc ?
