Had a 1990 rd04 Africa twin for 13 years and on and off it’s been used, knocked over (while I’m on it), moved countries, neglected and now restored!

Been on the button all of these years but recently while in the workshop I fired it up to run for a bit

It cut out, now with ignition on I cannot hear the usual fuel pump clicking and it has no spark (that can be seen)

Direction to look?

As a first step I'd have a look at the stop switch. It's not in the "Stop" position is it?

Just thought that this might have read that I was being "funny". That was not my intention.

The Run/Stop switch may well be in the "Run" position but corrosion of the contacts may well be causing enough resistance to cause problems.

Or maybe it's fuse "D" that's had enough of life and expired. They do go due to age sometimes and if it's not been changed in 35 years it's worth checking. It's 10 Amps by the way.
