Trek 4300 Mountain Bike. Needs repair.

I am trying to make some space in the garage so am selling my son's old mountain bike. It is a Trek 4300 Mountain Bike but the forks have been changed to RockShock Judy forks - a significant and expensive upgrade but probably old tech these days, as are the V brakes. It was bought in 2001 and the frame then was considered a high quality item - the bike was marketed as a high end frame with middle-low end components. I don't what size it is (16" from memory and its cold and dark so not going out to measure), it was bought when he was 10, but bear in mind he is now a 6'4" monster and was just as big for his age then, so size is probably suitable for a teenager or small adult.

This bike has been well used but I have given it a good clean, stripped and lubed everything that needs it. However it needs some repair/new parts to finish it off: as well as cosmetic scratches on the frame (mostly just to the transfers) and some slightly scruffy items like the handlbars it needs a new chainset and derailleurs as the chain constantly slips off front chain rings (it probably just needs a chain, front rings and front derailleur but its cheaper to get a full chainset). That should cost about £50 and is a DIY install if you have the tools and modicum of know how. With that the bike should be good to go for another few years.

I have fitted a new bottom bracket and the saddle is new too. The brakes work fine and the wheels are not buckled, although the tyres could do with replacing if you plan to go off road; they will be fine on the streets. It has a non standard Kore handlebar stem, V8 platform pedals, and some fancy brake levers.

I also have some good quality upgrades: Deore LX Shifters complete with cables; Deore LX front V brake, Easton EA50 Handlebars, Easton EA50 Seat Post and shim to fit this bicycle; 26" front and rear wheels with Deore LX Hubs and Alex G3000 rims. I also have an Easton EA50 handlebar stem that I might let go but did want to fit it to my own cycle. The Easton parts and wheels were fitted to the bike; the Deore LX parts came off my own bike. I am not splitting these items from the bike or as a set until the bike has sold.

Price: all I want is the money back on the new parts I have bought and a tiny bit for the rest of the bike: so that will be £50. For the upgrade items I want an additional £80. Collection from Garstang, or I will deliver locally at my discretion.
