My last MOT gave me an advisory for "decreased rate of damping for the rear shock" or words to that effect.
The whole bike had felt a bit... lumpy and soft for a while now, it's an '02 plate on 65k miles.... it's had a well travelled life, and the advisory kicked me in to action.
The front end got a dose of heavier grade fork oil, and the back got a brand new Hagon shock. The Hagon needs a bit of tweeking to improve it's current default setting (I'm pretty sure they weren't banking on someone of my size and weight when they ship them), but the overall effect on the bike is brilliant. Much more responsive, it wallows about less, and gives an all round better feel. Impressed.
There wasn't a point to the post, just thought I would share
