WELSH INVASION 2018.

It's been some weeks since this years and we all agreed it was an excellent weekend despite the over abundance of Welsh sunshine.

Just before we met I put up a thread with the number of people down for attendance and how many we would cater for. There were no replies so after three postings I ordered food for the 23 names on the list. Fifteen people turned up. There was no communication to me about cancellations. I appreciate that unforeseen circumstances crop up and these are unavoidable.

So we all had a chat and it was decided that from next year if you put your name on the list you will have to pay a £10 deposit. This will be returnable on cancellation right up to the time when the food is ordered, once the food is ordered no monies will be returned.

Please feel free to comment.

Good idea Mike. Afraid there might be a bit of bad news in that future meets at Pembrey won't allow under 18s. Unfortunately the site rules don't permit it - something to do with insurance. Don't think it will have a huge impact to be honest.

Were you out of pocket at all? Happy to pay a bit if you are? You know 50p or maybe even a whole £1. ;)

Wow I'm amazed by your generosity, nay humbled :thumbsupanim:

Seriously no I wasn't but it was close. My problem is with amount of food wasted, hopefully people took it home.

Well put Mike, I mentioned it to you a few times. If people have a genuine reason they won't mind losing their deposit, I know I wouldn't & have in the past (not here).
