Your plans for the coming year

So, what have you planned for the coming year?

Might well turn up at the Taffy Dakar to offer moral support (ie, point and laugh) to SteveT and Lowflyer over the weekend of 29th April to 2nd May.

Have a free pass in the middle of June, 16th to 19th. What to do?

Have a hankering to do the NC500 before it gets too clogged up with prat-nav following loonies.

Will also be over to visit my ailing Mum a time or two as well.

So, what have you got planned? Or even vaguely planned or even just have a notion to do?

I might have a go at the NC 500 sometime this year and I will have to get a move on with the bikes I am working on. The Kawasaki is slowly getting there but I have been a bit distracted with the Thunderbolt and I do know that I should do one at a time, but you know how it is. Other than that I have nothing planned after the Welsh Invasion but I am quite sure something will take my fancy, depending on the weather of course. ;)

Any & all support, be it physical, mental , spiritual :eekicon: or monetary :D would be greatfully accepted

Tony, hows this for a plan - you travel north with the mad Inversnekien & meself once the taffy is done & dusted, then use my place as a base to do the NC500 at your leisure? Just a random thought that popped into me head, so I thought I's scribble it down here. Drop me a line if any part of the above offer sounds like it would fit into any plan you might come up with

As well as "doing" the Taffy Dakar, the Kelso meet is on the calender for September. Inbetween I'd like to, maybe, pop over to Euro land and either ride some Alpine trails or head into Spain and "do" some of their dirt trails on my way to my sisters near Alicante. No real plan, just more random thoughts and inclinations that I thought I'd share ;) .

here's to a safe & happy 2016 riding year for all.

That's jolly decent of you old chap. I'll shall keep this in mind and see what cunning, dastardly plan I can come up with.

Alternatively

I can try and organise a proper ride out to do the NC 500 at or around June if anyone is interested ?
I know a few of the guys on here expressed an interest.

The rough plan would be to turn up at mine, stay in my garden , house or whatever and do the run the next day, stay overnight on the route and return back to wherever.
Bit much to travel up here and go straight onto the run I think.

I'll corbel something over the next couple of days once the festivities die down :thumbsupanim:

Oh, happy new year

I've the Welsh Invasion planned for February, I know hardly a trek for me eh Andy.

The National in September all the way up there

I have the opportunity to go to the TT, ferry & camping booked, but having ticked it off the list I feel I could use the time constructively elsewhere.

I want to go to Nordkapp but a mate wants to come and he can't do 2016.

I want to go to Morocco but feel the @ is a little on the heavy side in sand?! Possible offer to join a group going October/November.

I haven't done the Pico's so that might be an option, I did HISS Aragon last May and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Or my brother lives near Alicante, ride down with Steve T, leave @ at brothers, fly home, fly out in October, do Morocco, leave @ at brothers, fly home, drive down Easter 2017, bring @ home.

Anyone with ideas looking for more than one bike, I'm fairly easy date wise as long as not school hols

Plans:

- Finish arm refurbishment.
- Rebuild bike.
- Get back on it and see how interesting (in the Chinese sense) that's going to be.
- See about smoothing out the undoubtedly awkward chickenshit riding that will ensue.

A very kind offer to stop over John and I just may take you up on that, but I was thinking of taking at least 3 days up there to soak in the sights at a lazy pace. Not being one to rub it in, but as a retired gentleman I can do it whenever I like. :D

No definate plans, hoping to make the Welsh Invasion & National, maybe an impromptu tag onto an abr/adv Scotland trip if time allows.
Oh, and a few Gents do Lunches are a certainty :)
