Hi guys,
I have a Minolta SLR film camera, a couple of lenses and odd filters
It appears to be fairly worthless due to digital era.
I am not going to mess about splitting bits and pieces.

Suggestions please as to what to do with it. I would be happy to donate it FOC to a "student" or similar for the price of P&P
If you are not a "student" a confirmed, showing of a charity donation would be welcomed.
Cheers
Rob

Try these people, they are happy to receive kit, especially if its a complete outfit with lenses etc http://www.disabledphotographers.co.uk

Hi Russ
Weirdley I have a Sny Alpha Digital camera! Are you saying that the lenses from my Minolta Dynax will fit and work
(neither are handy... or I would have tried it myself)
Cheers
Rob

Yes Minolta Dynax and Sony Alpha have the same fitting.

I donated my Dynax kit a couple of years ago after stumbling over it too many times

Me and caitie m are doing A level photography so it would be great for us to use a film camera for some of our shots.

I've still got the kit in my loft I think, and a couple of film cameras.

I found an old Olympus OM at the back of a cupboard yesterday...still has about 20 exposures left on the film. :eek:ld-025:
I'll have to try it!...And then try to find somewhere that can still develop colour negative film.

All my stuff is still boxed from when we moved, 12 years ago. I'll never set up a dark room again but used to really enjoy watching an image appear on paper. Digital has taken away the Christmas feeling in photography.

My daughter uses film whenever she can and prefers it to digital.
She's just come back from visiting a concentration camp with some rolls of b&w film to develop, I'm expecting some interesting and moving images to be coming out if those cans.
You just can't beat film for stuff like that.
