Anyone thinking of paying the loch a visit might like to know you can only access it from the Dava moor road as a small bridge just off of the A939 Nairn-Grantown road has got a bit of a hole in it - no picture taken but I did ride all the way to the bridge to find out why the road is signed as closed. The snow gate shown on google maps are chained shut . . .
Tone, sod the fuel prices Life is too short my friend. Great weather, great riding, just dooooo it
We are expecting snow end of this week crazeeee man !!
Have to admit, a few days out on the pushbike isn't bad either with the kind of weather we've been having. Plus you get to go into all kinds of beautiful places where the noisy bike unfortunately isn't allowed.
Gotta love the last light of the day
I wouldn't have minded the suspension on the GS here though!
So, after recovering from yet another rise in “Road Fund License” for powered two wheelers , I took a little ride out on the NC . . . neighbour joined me on a short local ride in between hail showers.
Nice to get the wheels of the NC rolling again.
Just gotta get the F8GS fully stripped down, cleaned, serviced and re-assembled ready for the run south next month
Day one- had to price a job in the hills above Dunblane on Friday, thought about taking the bike as there is about 5 miles off roading to get to the site. On the Thursday, we had a job at Dalwhinnie, -11, heavy snow, had to abort, so chickened out and grabbed a 4 x 4 for the following day.
Big mistake
Dry as a bone , beautiful day, until I got back to near Aviemore !!
And today --
Went for a quick blast around the Black Isle
Those yellow frames in the background are off shore wind turbine bases, the largest production yard in the UK I believe
Grand wee run out if a little chilly on the way back
Dragged meself out of the man-cave yesterday, seeing as the F8GS is now back together and the weather was kinda nice
Took a very sedate and scenic ride over to Corgarff for a roll & a brew with LWR, then over the Lecht, through Tomintoul and Grantown then back towards Moray.
Only the one photo as I was enjoying the ride
