Lovely photo's of the river Spey there. Just checked, that's only 9hrs 40 minutes from me !

Weather was, yet again, sunny & nice, so I did the only thing a bike nut could really do . . . go ride!

Thought it would be nice to see how they are getting on with the new bridge at Gairnsheil . . .

My bestest guess is that it’s still someway off being ready to drive over. Maybe into the New year, once we’ve had some real weather maybe?

This is a slightly older bridge from a short way back up the road towards Strathdon . . .

A view from the bridge and up in the heather above the bike is one of them there ringing stones - see attached image for location.

Give it a good tap with a smaller chucky and you get a distinctly musical note. I have a fond memory of myself, AfricaJim, Fiona and perhaps Lowflyer stopping off here years ago and Jim fannying around and about the stone.
