Woke up to blue sky and sunshine and decided the run through to the other side of London cant be to bad in this, well :eekicon:
It seems i was mistaken cause the sun and blue sky disappeared before i crossed the M25
I arrived at the Ace just in time to help Mudwiz preventing his marque to join the early morning traffic on the Northern circular
Once we it was back n the confines of the Ace bike park we decided on a Varadero/GSA ground anchor approach
Mudwiz and his "Ride any Road" stand

after i had a breakfast and a coffee i blended in with the locals   :D

Had a look at some bikes and chatted to some old and newer friends
Young Sohoeasy on his trick Dommie which disappeared before i could get a pic

Round the world Bikes

This Lady(cant remember he name :( ) was leaving today for her trip around the world  Good luck and have a save happy trip

A Diesel bike from Holland arrived fresh of the Ferry

Managed to miss the showers both there and back, took my son up for the first time too, he had a great time.

Likewise, good to catch up with folk and meet new.

Seemed to be pretty good turnout with bikes filling up the other side of the road and cycle track right up and under the railway bridge.

Nice to speak to one and all.

Only sad thing for me was seeing only one XRV750 (Loggy's). Maybe there were others later ? Otherwise more like a BMW showroom.

5/6 years back it was all Tranny's, AT's & other bikes you could fix yourself almost anywhere. Alright I'm gettin' old :D

I'm not an Adventure rider any longer,I've invented a new idea ? :idea-013: :idea-013: :idea-013:

I'm gonna call it " Holiday Rider " ( same thing less boxes ) the idea is you come back, do some work, save up and do it again. :D :D

Hi Vader,

It was great seeing you again. Sorry I didn't get to chat longer, I was all over the place chatting... There were a hell of a lot of bikes. My favorite had to be the Dutch Diesel bike. Apparently only 100 were made and it looked awesome. KTM front end, BMW rear, Snowmobile drive from engine to shaft and the Smartcar turbo diesel engine. The turbo sounded great... :D

I left at 16:30. Missed the showers all the way home, however the roads were slightly wet. Bike not too grubby...

Hello mate. It was great meeting you. Yeah I was really surprised. There was another across the road caked in mud and a black one turned up later. But only 3 Africa Twins all day just shows how rare these bikes are getting. I reckon 80% were BMW's... Lots of KTM's too.

I agree, spotted 2 AT and 1 TA and that was it :( Mind you I think most of the remaining XRVs are currently owned by Soho! I guess yours Loggy was the RWB RD07? Very nice, I do miss mine, IMO still the best looking adventure bike.

Bloody BMWs are everywhere...oops

Never before has London seen so many 'empty' panniers lol

Cheers for the update & pics. Hoping to make one of these one day....!

A shame not to see you all again, but Manchester was fun too, though a lot fewer panniers :D

I too remember being excited at the rows of ATs and TAs, a shame there are now so few. Whoops, I can't really talk, can I  but then, as someone kindly pointed out yesterday when I was stood by Wheelie's zebra, I would need a stepladder ... :rolleyes2:

My and zee mizzes got there quite early, I did see one @ I now know that it was Loggys and a nice flat tracker but this incognito type of forum with the silly names and no pics to put to them makes it quite difficult to recognise members unless they are standing next to a bike with a XRV or BigTrailie sticker stuck on .
Perhaps it would be better to have a pin or badge of some sort to separate us from the rif-raf
Anyway I met Steph there before she started off on her mega trip and a very nice down to earth woman she is too :respect:
I was sitting at the front of the Ace digesting my beacon butty when Chris (mudwiz) was having a bit of trouble with his gazebo just as a real Member :hitler: Vader (Pete) turned up and made good use of the BMW as a ground anchor.
Had to leave at 11.30 just as the crowds were turning up , but a least I got the ole lady out and about if only for a little while..

Hi Russh, yeah that was my AT... :D

There was a lot of very nice bikes on show, but for me, the Track 800dci was by far the most interesting. It was dropped through the yolks by about 2 inches and yet it was still massive. I chatted to the owner and he said they only made 100. They didn't make more because of the EU Type Approval costs... I would LOVE one. Here are some pictures...
