Because I don't have to

So I rode to Broadford medical centre to drop off a specimen, I am of that age, then was about to head back to the house, when I thought "I don't have to"

I don't have to go back to that boring, soul destroying job ever again. Not today, not tomorrow, not next week, never.[emoji3060][emoji3060][emoji3060]

So took the road down to Armadale, just a gentle ride as, although it wouldn't have been declared a wet race, there was much damp and bit of drizzle. There were some sunny bits and the clouds formations were pretty good.

There were a few tourists that got in the way of the corners but, to be honest, I didn't give a s=/_€.

So far retirement is pretty sweet.

Then...........I got the urge
I don't get it very often,
Steve T gets it a lot.

I stopped to take a photo.
Had to sit down after that. Whew.

Is this what its going to be like?

Congrats on the retirement. I didn’t know.

Oh yes. Retirement is good. But be warned the “I don’t have to” thing could so easily turn into doing nothing. Coz you can and it makes no difference. Prevarication is the enemy of the retired I would say. Stay focused. I do however quite like doing not a lot though. Doing nothing is ok occasionally. In my world sitting in the garden doing the crossword is not doing nothing. It’s doing two things at once.
Turn the tv off though. Day time tv sucks the life out of you. Ditto lying in bed until late and staying up late.

Enjoy. Time whizzes past faster than you can imagine.

So you have finally done it ??
Nice one
Everyone is different, I still work part time, for instance I am off today and I may take tomorrow off too
But part of my work is having to get to isolated jobs, some by access only by 4 x 4 or by motorbike. Guess which I choose to use

Give me a bell when you feel the urge to wander, work something out :cool2:

Absolutely, I have stacks to do. Home work and pleasure stuff.

Alarm set for 08:00 hrs.
I do take tea breaks though.
Get out for a short walk at least, every day.

I have been mostly working from home anyway so the transition isn't too drastic. Just replace work work, with home work.
