Took a tootle through to Ft Augustas today to see the canal being done up. Only happens very rarely so seeing as how I am " in the profession " , thought I would see how it was done in the good old days.
And I have to say, what workmanship form days of old, very, very well constructed.
When you think that no excavators, no cranes etc, bloody hard work.
Went down via A82, but came back top road
Great run, not a lot of traffic on the way back, bit of snow melt here and there but otherwise great craic.
