Different colour scheme

Hmm, if that's a genuine Swiss bike then it'll have been restricted when it was built. And the restriction won't be easy to rectify as it involves changing the cmashaft, the intel rubbers and the carb needles and slow jets. Wonder if the seller knows?

The camshafts on the restricted Swiss bikes are also used on the VT750 Shadow cruisers, so really are "tame".

But as you say, a different colour scheme.

Edit: Had confirmation from the seller that the bike was first registered in Switzerland - so, a restricted bike.

I think perhaps he should mention it if it is restricted as someone could buy a pup,i wouldn't have known.

Well, he's replied saying that his pal bought it in Switzerland 5 years ago and it had a Swiss log book and cannot say what happened in the previous 15 years.

Unfortunately, you cannot tell whether it is restriucted or not without either proper provenance or stripping it down - at least partially. A dial test guage on one of the valves and a degree disk on the end of the crankshaft would do the job. Not difficult - but one hell of a faff.
