Apologies for joining just to post a For Sale but I've only just discovered this site!

Anyway, I have a 1991 Suzuki DR800S SR43 for sale. Brand new MOT (two advisories - front tyre and rear pads nearing limits), 33,000 miles and currently SORNed.

Bike has been sensibly modded by the previous owner to me (a real DR enthusiast) as follows:

Frame has been blasted & powder coated in grey with a light silver metallic fleck.
Swingarm blasted & powder coated in silver.
All brackets, foot pegs, rack etc powder coated.
Wheel rims & hubs powder coated & re-assembled with stainless polished spokes.
Rally style dashboard which houses a KOSO digital dash.
Modified Puig extended screen to fit the dashboard & give better wind protection.
Hella twin H7 lights with philips extreme bulbs.
Lexan headlight guard to protect the lights.
Front brake master cylinder is uprated from a Yamaha R1.
The front forks have WP uprated springs & the rear shock is also WP with damping adjustment.
The handle bars are Renthal Enduro high with foam grips & hand guards.
The exhaust has a Hessler Motorsport stainless header pipe with a Laser Produro silencer.
There is a tool tube mounted under the l/h side panel.
K&N airfilter.
Loobman chain oiler.
Engine/Tank protection bars.
Hessler Motorsport lower chain runner.
Over sized foot pegs.
Grip textured seat cover.
Hessler Motorsport aluminium gear lever tip.
12v power supply too top box for charging phone etc.
12v power socket mounted in dashboard.

The paintwork is original and apart from a few scrapes here and there is in pretty good shape albeit a little faded after 23 years! Oh, and it needs a n/s mirror.

I'm looking for offers in excess of £1800. Bike can be viewed in Letchworth, Herts. Call me on 07710 132647 for more info.

Cheers,

Rog

Thank you. If I'd known about this site before I would have joined ages ago.

Love my trailies. Started trials riding when I was 13, did that for a few years before getting on the road on a FS1-E. Snce then I've had more thana few bikes, including a XT600Z which I despatched on in London for 9 months. Still maintain it was the best town bike I ever rode! Had a Dommie for a while and always hankered after an Africa Twin but never had the money. Bought this Dr last January of a guy from www.drbig.info - a real DR enthusiast - but never really got around to riding due to life getting in the way. Sorry to see her go but need the money. Another trail bike is definitely on the cards. It'll have to wait though as I also have a VFR750 which just won't die and the wife says I can only have one bike!
