Getting Stoned in Gloucestershire- A selection of historic locations to visit in Gloucestershire including boundary & standing stones,& ancient crosses. You visit them in your own time between 1st May and 30th September. At each location you will need to answer a clue/question about the stone or its surrounding area. Similar to our Edge Rally in 2016 see here (bottom of page).
You do NOT have to be a VMCC or a South Cotswold VMCC section member to take part and you do NOT need to do it on a VMCC eligible motorcycle, any powered 2 or 3 wheeler can take part.
No prizes other than finding some old/ unusual/odd features in Gloucestershire

Oooh, nice one and a good excuse for a visit to Gloucestershire. Perhaps something for later in the year.

This could be developed so there is a challenge in several counties. It just needs someone local to establish one. ;)

We did one last year Glos & Cotswold Edge, the files are on the website and we are planning one for next year military/war based to commemorate WW1 Armistice including airfields WW1 & 2, War memorials, VC survivor grave, thankful village (all combatants returned), pillboxes on the defence lines possibly POW camp and munition factory railway remains, if we can find any accessible!

    Ooh,

When I saw this first, thought all off road, mmmmm. Don't get many off road excursions up here, well, legally anyway ;)
But, looks like this gig is mostly all at sides of road.

Anyways my friend , very good of you to post, looks like a good idea
