Took the old R80 out for a spin to Ullapool today.
Stopped at the Loch to see if the water has risen over the past few months, it has not.
If you look in the background you can see the road disappear into the Loch.
This was once a village before it was flooded to form a dam for Hydro power, the dam is at the far end of the loch.
I have passed this many times through work and I have never seen the road so exposed. The road itself is in reasonable condition, complete with a bridge and a milestone !!
At one time apparently you could see a chimney stack poking through the water.
That aside, the old beast performed really well, so glad I carried out the resto work on it, I shall be sad to see it go.
It certainly caused some attention on the front at Ullapool, old bikes, nostalgia ain't what it used to be
