Try before you buy, so I joined up with todays ride meeting at Morton on the March and rode down to Bourton on the Water with the group then joined the forum. We seemed to all relate to each other as bikers & in the type of biking we all like, over a cuppa and plate full of chips. I used my name and bike as a user name to make it a bit easier to work out who I am, hopefully will join you all in some ride-outs. I have the XTR for road & off road riding, plus a TTR250 for trail riding. I ride out with x4 TRF groups and with a couple of Vintage clubs.

Hi Cliff and welcome to the forum.

Me and the wife both had XT660Rs. Great bikes and we only sold as the wife decided she preferred pillion to riding so we sold both. I should have kept one. Hope to meet you soon.

Thanks for such a good welcome & to Stan, Rus & Alpie & everybody else whom I rode with on Saturday. Hi Stan I have some good name contacts for Herts TRF who are keen to ride the local trails on big bikes as it's starting to dry out a bit. I also looked up the December Salisbury Plain ride-out only to see my friend Keith leading the group. Hopefully I will come down to the SPTA soon and we could tie in a ride with Keith, as you know his is very keen to follow TRF rules of x6 riders which makes it easier anyway to keep together, we could do 2-groups. Talking about taking big groups I took a group of say 30 riders from the local of the VMCC out at short notice last year, use follow the leader they said, so I assumed they would do it TRF style but nobody used their mirror so when I finished I had lost 25 riders.
