Tendays reporting in.

I have just been on an ebay splurge and bought 2 new 2nd hand snowboards. Going to France next week. Woohoo.

Not got any stupid ideas about riding a bike up to a mountain refuge. Get on a lift and ride down, much more fun. :D

I joined the army and got a letter from my parents ending in "by the way we've moved" no fekkin address on the letter, now the same as happened with you lot. Go away for a week or three and you all bugger off.
Well I found my parents and I found you lot.

Hi Nick, been following your travels, you've travelled all that way so I had no doubt you'd find your way here. :)

Hiya there Tony.

It's like it's the same but Errr, different!

Can't help thinking there's some underlying reasoning behind it, considering all of the troubles the mods have had with VS?
Am I close ;)

Phil, you;re right there are some issues with VS and the fact that they don't give a flying f**k about their membership, but that's not all this forum is about for me, I started it on a bit of a whim to be honest but then as the idea developed I thought that we could build something quite special.
There are others out there like ABR for example which is without doubt very popular and serves many many people well but for me it lacks the warmth of the membership that I always found with XRV, My worry with xrv is that from the outside world it still might seem a "single make" forum (although we no better) and so my hope for this forum is that like xrv it retains it's friendliness and like ABR attracts a new "All makes" membership ........who knows it may fall flat on its face but here goes......... :)

Well, I must admit, I initially joined with reservation as I didn't want to see the xrv community (as in care in the...) broken up or split but it soon became obvious that this could be the perfect place to get the original spirit back. Especially as all the usual suspects started turning up pretty quickly and the quality of the banter has been top class  . So thank you Russ, Ian et al, and here's wishing you well with the venture. :respect:
