Thanks guys,

Mr Steve T is going to hunt out one for me tonight from a dealer he knows on the east coast. Failing that I'm going to go with Tourances. Shame, like the Anakees. Guess Michelin have been given good advice by somebody ??

Oh well, their loss is my gain.
Looked at a couple of suppliers on the net who may have some Anakee 2's in stock, but guess what ? they don't post to the Highlands ??? They must know we are an unruly bunch up here. :scotland-emoticon-flag: :D

Cheers
Fixed it for you

If it's any consolation to you Lowflier I live in Michelins home country and have always run them only bikes, but in September last anakee 2's we're out of production and the 3's were unavailable... brilliant planning on somebody's part! So I went with Dunlops and am well content. Michelin have lost another client. ( they also managed to have no snow tires available for the car in September...)

Well, after years of using Anakees, told Mr Michelin to go and get rubbered

Bought a Conti Escape after some recommendation from the wee Welsh wizard ( cheers Steve )
Haven't really tried it out on the loose stuff yet, but road holding seems fine. Bit waxy at the edges to begin with, gone now ;)
Saw the Anakkee 3 in the flesh the other day, wasn't greatly impressed I have to say. Fine if you're on road all the time, but I ain't. Horses for courses I guess ??
