Motorcycle training - NW UK

I have a brother in law that's set on getting back into biking after a lay off of, err, quite a long time - decades in fact.

So, can anyone recommend a motorcycle trainer or school in the north west of the UK? Somewhere around Wigan would be good, but not absolutely essential.

West Pennine Motorcycle training are supposed to be good. Might be a bit far they are in Blackburn, maybe something a lot closer.
