    Ok,

Think we are in agreement that we hold the National at Achilitbuie this year

Port A Bhaigh Campsite, Altandhu, Achiltibuie

To take place 7th- 9th September.
We will raise a glass to our dear friend Geoff who will be with us in spirit I am sure.
If anybody wants to stay at mine on the way up, I am about 2 hrs away from the camp site.

Know it's a long way for a lot of you to come, but I think under the circumstances, it is the best choice.

    Runs 01 009.jpg

Me and Geoff at the campsite last time he was up.
    Happy days :)

    See you there John.
Might bimble up from Tuesday on,pop into Jims for a night and than go up to the camp site. Another one of these odd places I will never be able to pronounce

Have to admit it sounds a bit like something that could be followed by “bless you”.

I’ll do my best to make this work.

I so want to visit Scotland, it's always appeared unbelievably beautiful in the Highlands and I've never been past Carlisle !
The one single reason that stops me ....is the horror stories of midges and flies & ticks. I know some people can handle it,
but I can't i'm afraid.....I can just picture Geoff chilling up there in his Volk's camper.

There will be no midges Nick.
Right by the sea side with the Summer Isles in the distance.

    What's not to like ?? :):)

Well, maybe the weather can't do much about that.
Every time I have been up there it's been great

You are more than welcome to stop over at ours and travel up with us. Because of the distance involved we make a week of it

I'm gonna be doing some cogitation. I'd like to believe theres no flies, but WTF is that on Geoff's head then ? Problem is since I lost my spleen in that tumble off my bike (9 yrs ago next week), I blow up with any kind of a bite or infection. (I'm sure half the time it's the permanent meds reacting?)

If I do go it'll be my main trip of the year so at least a week for me too. Sadly I haven't done more than a few hundred miles around the Bedfordshire lanes this year, and I haven't kept a bike in the West End for more than a year.

Pierre, thanks for the offer but all my travels need to start from my "workshop" which I believe isn't too far from your new home so I'm already half way there innit.

    Fantastic stuff, John.

Let me see what hols I have left a little closer and I'll speak with Derek, Stuart and Alan and try and make a trip of it.

Remember going up to Ullapool a few years back with them and it was an awesome trip.

I'll have to give this some serious consideration.

I'll be there! Depending on weather, I might take my van up. Aye Peter, you're welcome to stop here mate. I've only one spare room so can't manage anyone else unless you want the couch? ;)

    Cottage booked
Since my last trip to Scotland in June where I nearly froze to death I take no chances
Next to the pub and opposite the campsite so I can watch you all freeze or being swept away:thumbsupanim:
