Patience needed fitting pannier rack.

Haha. What a palaver I had fitting a touratech pannier rack to my 03 Africa Twin today. Won't go into detail but a lot of swearing involved and eventually 2 different bolts in the subframe ended my frustration.
Tomorrow I'm attempting a new centre stand from Heavy Duties. I've already tried to loosen the nut and bolt that needs to come out but can't get the leverage on it. Can see me popping down the local mechanics.......

Most difficult pannier frames I ever fired were metal mule ones to my transalp. Tbh it didn't really fit and nothing lined up properly but with a bit of brute strength and some big levers I strong armed it into place bolted it down and never touched it again. Easiest was a Holan set to a Varadero. Everything lined up perfectly, nice clean lubricated threads and bish-bash-bosh it was on in minutes. :).

Centre stands are a bit of an art. Springs usually cause the most grief but can be done with a bit if imagination.

patience........and brute strengh will reward u!
After changing the subframe bolts for a couple of allen/hexagon type thingys it went straight on with no brute strength needed. I did have to bend the rear reinforcing cross member a few times until it matched up with both side frames tho.
