We've been to see a campsite this afternoon with the idea of holding a Christmas meet on the weekend 2nd-4th December

The site is Rivendale Caravan & Leisure park near Ashbourne

www.rivendalecaravanpark.co.uk

Accomodation is either Tents, Camping Pods sleeping 2-4 (from £40 a night), Canvas Yurts sleeping 6 or 8 (from £70 a night) or Timber Yurts sleeping 3-8 (from £40 a night). So there's something for everyone.

There is a pub and cafe on site and we might also arrange a Burger Night at Jelly's for the Sat night as it's on 25 minutes away

The campsite is happy to have us on the understanding we're not too noisy of an evening

They want an idea of number so have a think an let us know if you'd be interested and we can start the ball rolling with bookings

I've confirmed with the campsite that we will be attending on the weekend 2nd-4th December

To book in please call them on 01335 310441/310311 and tell them you are part of the BigTrailie group

They will want a deposit over the phone for whatever type of pod/yurt you want!

some dodgy phone photo's of the camping field and some of the pods

Yep same for us. If we can have a camping pod for 2 nights we would come up. Deb on Friday and I would follow Saturday morning as I work till 7 on Friday

Take some rock pegs with you if camping, the site is in an old quarry, I've camped there a few times....nice and sheltered though :thumbsupanim:

A prior commitment will prevent my attendance, unless there's a last minute date change

well it seems we have enough to make this a go-er

Worth cross posting this to the Honda Trail Bike Facebook group.

Depends. If they get hammered, loud and leery then your carrying the can.

Oh, hang on, Vaders coming......

We both hope to make this but can't commit yet - will depend on family circumstances nearer the time :(

I am keeping the weekend free but have my mothers wedding the weekend after working every weekend before it in the lakes so what's the odds it gets filled for me...... The curse of the shared calendar
