RIP Maximumbikes

I'm not sure if this is correct, posting about another (ex) bike forum so if anyone feels it's wrong feel free to take it down.

Yesterday was the last day of maximumbikes, the first bike forum I ever frequented. I met lots of people in person from that forum, people I had never met before and people who became friends. I also made virtual friends with dudes from all over the world.

It was similar to here but also a lot different as well as there was some choice language at times but all done in the best possible taste  It's a bit weird that there is nothing there this morning and it hasn't gone completely as it's now on faceache but I refuse to get drawn into that world.

Anyway, like this site (and before it XRV), I'd just like to say good morning to you all wherever you are, I know there are a few in here :respect13:

cheers, Bob.

wrong place mate, Maximumbikes as we know (or knew it) has effectively migrated to facebook but has become a closed group. The site had such a small band of regulars that it seemed the way to go.
membership is now by invitation only don't ya know, lika all the poshest, most exclusive clubs...:D :cool2:

though there is a facebook page that is effectively redundant ( I'll ask ren about it).
if you want to join send 6000€ to my paypal acc.... ARF...o_O seriously though, pm me your facebook thingy, I'll send you a friends request and from there can "invite you onto the maxbikes closed group.

there's probably a far easier way to do that but I'm a complete arse with all things computerly...:respect13:

We had been about 5 regular posters for the last, what... 2 years or more. pointless excersise and wate of energy to keep it going Dave, easier to just migrate to facebook and stay as a closed group to avoid the usual FB hassle.
