SA80 Bayonet for sale.

This was part of a small collection of knives that my dad had. The knives have sat in my gun cabinet more or less since he died in 1998. I have been having a tidy up and clear out recently and have sold most of the rest of the knives to friends or have them for sale in a local shop but don't know what to do with this one.

It's an issued bayonet as it had a "G" number written on it. The knife is in good gleam condition with no rust but is missing its sheath/scabbard and also missing the clip that would hold it to the barrel.

Anyone interested in a piece of recent militaria? Prices on the Internet seem to vary wildly but I would have thought £25 is fair. I also don't think knives can be posted so it would be buyer to collect and for all our protection I will only sell to Bona-fide forum members I know to be 18+. It's a scary looking thing.

Oh, and if admin don't like this being advertised just delete it. No explanation needed.

Yeah,

My old man had one of these as well in his shed.
He also had a Zulu spear  Don't know where that came from ( apart from Africa of course) :D
I think I gave them both to a friend of the family many years ago.
I gave the Luger to the cops :cool2:

I use a royal Navy divers knife as a doorstop in my garage, it has many uses :D

After my grandfather died, my father and I had to go out with my grandfathers fishingboat and dump two complete MG34, one Kar98k and several boxes of ammo...
They should still rest at the bottom of Luleälven: http://goo.gl/maps/hR8T5

You could probably have flogged them all to some American survivalist for a fortune!!

An old shooting aquaintance died a few years back and his wife asked a neighbour to come and have a look around at the guns and firearms he had. Vast quantities of ammo and guns going up to a 2" bore punt gun AND shells for it!! Happily, he had bequeathed a lot of them to friends and relations, which prevented the Police getting hold of them and destroying them!

One of the guys at work is making his own gun ( he's in a registered club ;) ) that fires lead shot
He's offered me a go once he's finished it.

Should be interesting
