Good find Rob. I was told years ago to do something similar to that SIAM thing - move across the carriageway from centre to nearside or vice versa on the basis that an object moving like that looked bigger and was more apparent than something moving directly towards the junction. It seems to have served me well. That and slowing down and covering the brakes.

Not sure about the weaving bit - looks a bit like a wannabe trying to warm his tyres up!

What I try and do is move across the carriageway from the side of my lane that I'm on, onto the other. And back again as required to which ever position in the road put's the most distance between me and the vehicle at the junction.

The movement of your machine (headlight) from side to side is what makes you and the machine stand out from the background.

Doesn't always work though :eekicon: . Ask the Czechoslovakia man working for Manchester company, driving a company car on his way to work at Inverness airport why, after looking directly at me as I came round a roundabout, he pulled out into the side of my bike as I passed infront of him    :mockery17:

Just my mutterings

A stoved in car door and sill, bruised left leg and the back end of the bike hanging off . . . . . . but I rode it home ;)

This happened many years ago Rob.
