Set 1
Autocom Active Rider Kit 3. This quite an old set from Autocom but was fitted to my bike until 2 weeks ago, was in regular use, and it all works just fine.

The set consists of:
The Unit itself: connections for rider and pillion and 3rd connector for a PMR radio (the grey one in the photos); connectors for a phone and another device (GPS or music). I can't remember the priority but phone cuts over music and intercom, intercom reduces music by 50%. You also hear your own voice on intercom so you know how well its transmitting. Note, there are no cables included for connecting Phone or music but you just need cables with standard 3.5mm plugs on them.

2 Helmet sets consisting of stereo speakers, boom mikes, and the connector for the extension leads. Both mike's on the headsets include an additional noise suppression "sock"

Two coiled extension leads (these are in addition to the standard kit)
One straight extension lead. (this is also an addition to the standard kit)

Two connector keepers - fit to the bike with 3m super sticky velcro (supplied) (these are in addition to the standard kit)
Two keepers to attach to helmets and hold the connector when not in use (I never bothered after trying them out)

Helmet fitting kit including spacer pads to improve the fit of the speakers, some spare velcro, and other useful stuff to help keep it all in place. (these are in addition to the standard kit)

A 3.5mm to 2.5mm audio cable (in case you have a phone or MP3 player with non standard outputs) (this is in addition to the standard kit)

Instruction booklet. The original box has long gone but I have saved the sleeve as it included some useful installation tips.

The power lead was cut fairly short to aid fitment to my bike and I will cut off the connector as fitted and put on two ring terminals. I will include the cut off bit of power lead so you can splice it all back together if needed (or I will do that for you if you think you will need it). A couple of the cables have some "bruises" on them where they have rubbed or been compressed by seat or tank. These are covered with insulation tape but they do not affect performance taped up or otherwise.

Kit 2
A very basic battery only Autocom device and headsets: easy 7 advance Kit 1.

the set consists of:
The Unit itself: connections for rider and pillion, connections for a phone and another device (GPS or music). I can't remember the priority but phone cuts over music and intercom, intercom reduces music by 50%. You also hear your own voice on intercom so you know how well its transmitting. Note, there are no cables included for connecting Phone or music but you just need cables with standard 3.5mm plugs on them. The unit is battery powered only (PP3 included) and is designed to kept in your jacket pocket in use.

2 Helmet sets. One is stereo set and mike; the other headset/mike only has a single speaker - this headset does however have the capability of being upgraded to a stereo headset by adding another speaker. Note, the stereo headset is an upgraded headset that includes the Ambient Noise Sensor.

Two keepers to attach to helmets and hold the connector when not in use.

Instruction booklet. The original box has long gone but I have saved the sleeve as it included some useful installation tips.

When I was photographing the kit for the advert I plugged it all in, fitted a new battery and my iPod and got music and speed through all three speakers. It works just fine and as it is supposed to.

Re: 2xAutocom Kit(s)

Lulu, You would have to add a PMR radio to the first kit and get the right sort of lead to plug into the grey multi pin plug on the main device. Look on the autocom website. they have loads of accessories. Then you would have an excellent bike to bike kit.

The other bike/ rider would also have to have a similar set up of course. It may be possible to make my second kit work with a radio via the aux 3.5mm audio plug. I think it would depend on the radio.

Re: 2xAutocom Kit(s)

Thanks Austin. I've let my mate Chris know about these. He is looking for a new radio set up for training. We use the Cardo Scala set up for our own rides, but the head sets don't fit in to all helmets so not so good for training purposes. He may be getting in touch shortly.

I don't think they will be suitable for what you want. Autocom speakers are bigger than Cardo speakers and the whole headset is more difficult to fit to a helmet as it has to be fitted between lining and shell and not clipped on to the shell. I will be putting on some other forums soon.
