tank identification

Whilst on my travels i get to be in some strange places and in my latest foray i came across a stash of bike stuff.

Two of the fuel tanks i recognised as an XS250/400 and a Superdream 250/400 but the other two i'm not sure of i took the caps off and they are mint inside so they will be of use to bike restorers or bike builders ( streetrackers, cafe racer type things)

Get your thinking caps on please.



I think we are nearly there fellas.

1 Honda superdream 250/400

2 CB 125 1970's .

3 honda cd175

4 Yamaha XS 250/400

Just number 2 to find now, i am sure i have seen one of these before but i cant thinnk where....ah well,

One looks like it could be from the CD175 or 200
One looks like it could fit the CB125.

The blue/chrome one looks a bit like a cd175 tank but I don't remember it having the raised centre - but it was 35 years ago. It looks very much like a tank from the late 60s to early 70s though.

The pale blue one looks like it has an offset filler which should narrow it down. It looks familiar though but can't place it.

I reckon you are right with an xs250/400

Can't place the top one at all.

Thye light blue one with the white stripe looks very much like an old (1970/80s?) CG125 item to me!

Yep you got the others , the blue and white is off a cb125
