Following my most recent thread about Dolphin spotting
I went out last Sunday to Tarbat Ness, a coastal area just outside the village of Portmahomack in Ross shire, another area to spot, although not so well publicised I assume due to the single track road to get there.
2nd largest Lighthouse in Scotland --- apparently
Nice views -- no dolphins though
If you click on enlarge, you can see a couple of geezers in that basket hung from the top of the Lighthouse. I presume carrying out maintenance work.
A good wee blast in windy conditions, especially crossing the Cromarty and Kessock bridges
These dolphins are a different pod from the Moray Firth ones.
And are equally as shy
