Nice one Alastair

You will identify with the problem of being a rock climber and a biker

When you get to the mountains or pictures of, you change from being a biker to a climber and start looking at routes!

Yep, haven't been climbing for years but still like looking up! Most of the island is a huge pile of volcanic choss but there are a few bits of solid black basalt - reminded me of home a bit.

Helmet was included. I coughed up an extra 5 euros for a jacket. I had a pair of walking boots & gloves.
Hire was EXPENSIVE - 170 euro for 2 days. You can get cars for way less than that. I didn't book before going and not much was available. No cars were available anywhere, and I needed Jo to make a few phone calls and speak some spanish to get the bike sorted. They'd told me they only had a 250cc cruiser..
