How topical and timely !

Transit 2.2Ltr

I just had a letter from Ford Motor Co this morning. Urgent action required - Piston software service programme ,new engine management software required to prevent mechanical overload and possible piston cracking. ! I'ts only done twenty thousand FFS. More fraught phone calls Monday morning. :thumbd:

How old is the Tranny Nick?

I have not received anything.
There were a few updates early in the mk7 life but I thought running probs were now sorted?

Modern stuff eh, they take a diesel engine that was inherently reliable & would run a lifetime & never miss a beat then build them saddled with 'clever' electronics to make them 'better' and make them temperamental, unreliable and expensive to fix (invariably can't diy)!!!

Good find with the recall websites btw

Phil - SWB Limited 140BHP, 12 months old probably similar engine to yours. Literally this morning the letter arrived,so you may have one in the post ? I got a recall too, when it was just 4 weeks old for faulty brake pedal repair.

Nice [emoji3]

They changed quite a bit on the later ones so hopefully mine ('08 110) won't be affected.
