Well, it appears that the BBC have got hold of the story - and the completely wrong end of the stick.

Biker's eye view of danger road.

The BBC fail utterly to point out the crash is purely down to the rider's stupdity. But at least Cheshire Constabulary have taken an interest.

From the BBC " A motorcyclist has had a lucky escape on one of Europe's most notoriously dangerous roads and published the video as a warning to others."

Yea, like 'I am a really stoopid tw*t and I bet you can't put up a film like this on Youtube'. As I said in a previous post, he needs to get his borls snagged on that barbed wire fence.

If only it were as simple as putting up a sign saying "Don't get cocky. Take it easy if you don't know *exactly* what you're doing on here." Unfortunately that seems to sooner be a red flag to certain folks.

The guy in the clip was clearly in over his head, got surprised by the car turning up where he wasn't expecting it, froze, and target fixation did the rest. Possibly grabbed a handful of front brake which will drive you out of the corner like that, should've got some rear brake on and lean in some more. Sportbike like that had plenty of margin left, it was nowhere near the limit. I could get bigger lean angles on my GS... ;)

Still waiting for news about repairs, so no bike for me. I can get you some lean angles from the Dutch railways though.

If this idiot does ever get onto a track he'll show himself up well and truly being p*ssed on by much less powerful bikes taking the proper line through a corner.

His cornering was shocking, no wonder he crashed! He was all over the place...

Butterfly rider.. They come out in the spring in all their colourful finery, then go back into their cocoons come autumn.
Llandovery is full of them. This is why I avoid the place.
