That back suspension would need stiffening up a LOT, with..erm... "western" builds riding it, it was completely bottoming out on those jumps with the tiny test riders on.
Looks like they can be swapped with the wheel built and in Situ, now to work out if an original replacement in a set of aftermarket Stainless is a permanent solution, or a temporary one.

... pulling the bike out of the garage this morning, I found a spoke from my xt1200z lying on the drive.
Not good.
The bike currently has Stainless spokes fitted by DaveS, the spoke in question seems to have snapped at the "fixed" end, and looks to have slid out of the "adjusting" end...
There are a bewildering array of headlight bulbs, all claiming to be better and brighter than the next.
Given that I need H7 12v 55w bulbs... does anyone have any tried and tested recommendations? Cheap and cheerful and £5 a pair? Or all singing all dancing light up the moon on a cloudy day £30...
I was watching without sound... for a second at the end there I thought you'd come off the bike
Enjoying your book by the way, about halfway through now :thumbsupsmileyanim:
Re: For Sale Varadero XL1000 '02 plate
To be honest I reckon this is a lot of bike for the price, surprised it's not gone myself... if nothing else it would make a good winter bike at that price.
